He was chosen as a "General" to control it. Taiki and his friends are thrown into another world, the Digital World. Due to the appearance of rival and enemy Digimon, the Digital World has been driven into a state of "Xros Wars", a large-scale war with battles like those of the Sengoku period. Taiki and Shoutmon form a Digimon Army named "Xros Heart" , using the D Xros Loader and battle against formidable opponents with "Digixros".

The Digimon Xros Loader (デジモンクロスローダー Dejimon Kurosurōdā), also called the D-Xrosloader, is digivice used by the main characters in Digimon Xros Wars.
The Digimon Xros Loader is a toy line for the Digimon Xros Wars franchise, created by Bandai. It is scheduled to be released in October 2010.
Unlike previous virtual pets, this features a 1.44 inch, 8-bit (256-color) LCD screen and can also be used as an MP3 player, being the first to do so. The Functions are as below:
- Form teams with the Digimon you have gathered and battle with friends through infra-red
- With its built-in voice recognition system, you can obtain Digimon via different sounds
- Summon legendary Digimon with "Digimemories", a form of memory card.
- Can store up to 50 MP3s
- Features connectivity with the Digimon Xros Arena
